Scope of application
The PROMOVIA bio-implant is used for pain and limited mobility caused by degenerative-dystrophic and traumatic changes in the knee and other synovial joints, for symptom relief at various stages of osteoarthritis, for fast and painless rehabilitation after arthroscopy, and for treating patients with active and regular stress on the affected joint. 18-22 G needles are used for injections.
Key advantages for doctors and patients
Proven efficacy
Reduced pain and improved mobility within 1–4 weeks after administration; contributes to postponing or avoiding joint replacement in early and middle stages of osteoarthritis.1,2
Biocompatibility and safety
A non-animal hyaluronic acid preparation of the highest purity, PROMOVIA is produced by natural bacterial fermentation and has an optimal molecular weight of 1200–1500 kDa, ensuring excellent tolerance with a low risk of allergic reactions and inflammation.3,4
Long-lasting effect
The effect lasts up to 6–12 months, reducing the frequency of repeat injections and the need for regular NSAID intake, as well as the risk of gastrointestinal complications or dependence on painkillers.5,6
High viscoelasticity
Provides effective protection and cushioning of the joint, slowing the progression of osteoarthritis.7,8
Ease and convenience of use
The product's composition facilitates injection even into complex joints (knee, hip); various dosages allow for an optimal treatment course for each patient; multiple joints can be treated simultaneously; outpatient administration is possible; stores at room temperature.
Additional benefits
Can be combined with other methods (PRP, SVF, physical therapy, therapeutic exercises). Suitable for patients who are contraindicated for hormone injections.
